Cataract Falls: Photo Excursion

Explore the beauty of stunning rock formations and lush canyons of Cataract Falls. The first meeting will be Saturday at noon, and includes a portfolio review and discussion of locations, field technique and composition, then shooting Lieber State Recreation Area until sunset.

This workshop is for all levels of photographers and there will be plenty of individual time with Rod to discuss technically and artistically how to take your photography to the next level. Some of the items that will be discussed are balancing exposures between land and sky along with learning depth of field and how to design a composition. For this trip we will be car-pooling to locations and it will be necessary for you to arrange your own lodging.

There's a $5 fee to visit the park. Cataract Falls is located between Indianapolis and Indiana State University (Terre Haute). To reach the park from I-70, take exit 41 and head south on 231 for 7 miles. Turn right onto 1050 N., drive less than a mile then cross the bridge over Mill Creek. The park will be on the right.
