Basic Digital SLR Photography
In this workshop, you'll learn how to get the most out of your digital SLR (single lens reflex) camera. You'll learn some of the more advanced features of your SLR camera, including various program functions and settings, metering, and when to use flash and filters. Most of the time will be spent on capturing a quality image: use of the various camera controls, proper exposures.
This workshop will also explore how to improve a photograph with more interesting compositions, use of depth of field, and better cropping in the viewfinder. The art of a quality image comes from a knowledge of composition, lighting, perspective, and much more. These will be covered as well giving all participants a well rounded thorough basic course in digital photography.
Finally, you learn how to select the best lenses and filters to capture your artistic vision. Each participant will have the opportunity to take pictures on location where you will apply what you have learned to capture the desired image.
